Help is a system, not a rescue plan

It's Messy Middle Monday!

I’ve been using my birthday month to practice something that does not come naturally to me: asking for help.

I’m a recovering people-pleaser, and being a highly capable human, the person everyone depends on, became part of my identity a long time ago.

And listen, it served me well. I became the person who could figure anything out. It helped me build my career. It helped me build businesses. Until capability started becoming a trap.

Because when “I can handle it” becomes part of who you are, asking for help can feel suspiciously like admitting you can’t.

The devil is a lie.

The more my business has grown, the more I’ve realized that sustainable growth requires other people. Community. Delegation. Shared ownership. People I trust to think with me, execute with me, and sometimes simply remind me that I don’t have to carry everything.

We talk a lot about financial freedom. But what kind of freedom are we building if everything still depends on us?

This month, I started thinking about help differently, not as one person coming to rescue me, but as an ecosystem of support.

Different problems need different kinds of support. There is no magical person who does it all.

Accept my birthday challenge and ask for help

So here’s my birthday-month challenge to you:

I DARE YOU TO ASK FOR HELP.

If you know you need support but aren’t sure what kind, the One Move Reset will help you identify the support that can have the biggest impact on your business.
