It's Messy Middle Mondays!
You ever notice how beautiful someone's advice sounds… until you actually try to apply it to real life?
“Sit in your feelings.”
“Do it scared.”
As a Virgo with an aggressively cerebral brain, those phrases never fully landed for me unless someone could explain what they actually meant in practice. During Covid, I remember asking my therapist to literally break down the steps of “sitting in your feelings” because I wanted to understand how that translated into something I could physically do.
I see a version of that same tension in a client I’m working with now. Her business is growing. Opportunities are expanding. But with every next-level decision comes fear: bigger visibility, bigger investments, bigger responsibility.
And what we’re actively learning together is this: sustainable businesses are not built by eliminating fear. They’re built by refusing to let fear make the decisions.
On hard days, I remind myself:
“This is bigger than this one deal.”
“This is bigger than this potential rejection.”
That mantra pulls me back to the bigger picture when discomfort tries to shrink my thinking. It reminds me that building something sustainable requires making decisions from vision, not panic.
So if you’re in a season where things feel uncertain, maybe the goal isn’t to become fearless. Maybe the goal is learning how to keep building anyway.
If you missed it last time, grab this free resource and take the assessment for your business. Again, it’s not a to do list. Just a spotlight on where your business needs a better process in order to be more sustainable. Because knowing builds confidence. And confidence is a better driver than fear.
